Heights Project

Located in Houston’s Heights neighborhood, this project transforms a compact backyard into a clean, modern outdoor living space. A custom black steel pergola with horizontal slat panels creates a defined lounge area, offering shade, privacy, and a striking architectural focal point.

The patio was rebuilt with large-format concrete pavers in a cool gray tone, bordered with dark charcoal brick that adds contrast and a finished edge. A matching slatted enclosure was added to conceal utilities, keeping the layout streamlined and clutter-free.

Along the fence line, low-maintenance grasses and textured plantings soften the hardscape and introduce subtle movement and color. Together, the updated structure, refined paver layout, and simple landscape palette create a polished outdoor retreat designed for everyday relaxation and effortless entertaining.
