How We Handle the Information You Share

What we collect

When you submit an inquiry through our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, project address and ZIP code, the project type, investment range and timeline you select, how you heard about us, any description you write, and any site plans or photos you choose to upload.

The contact form has three steps, and your contact details are saved when you finish the first one rather than only when you press send at the end. This is so we can still reply to you if something interrupts you partway through. A partly completed inquiry is treated exactly like a finished one under this policy, and you can ask us to delete it on the same terms.

We also record the date of your submission and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. The hash lets us limit automated abuse of the form; it is not reversible and is not used to identify you.

How we use it

We use this information for one purpose: to respond to your inquiry, prepare for a consultation, and carry out any project you engage us for. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising.

Information may be shared with subcontractors, engineers, or suppliers where it is necessary to design, permit, or build your project, and with service providers who host this website and store submissions on our behalf.

Where it is stored

Inquiries and uploaded files are stored on infrastructure operated by our hosting provider and are accessible only to Texan Landscape Group staff who need them to respond to you.

How long we keep it

We retain inquiries for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will do so unless we are required to retain it.

Cookies and analytics

This site runs no advertising scripts and sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use a privacy-friendly analytics service that counts page views and a small number of named events — such as reaching an estimate in the cost calculator — without cookies and without building a profile of you across sites. Standard server logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

We do set two first-party cookies of our own, read only by this site. One holds a random identifier for your visit; the other records which of our team members’ pages you arrived through, the page you landed on, the site that referred you, and any campaign parameters in the link you followed. Both expire after 90 days.

We use them for two things: so a team member knows which homeowner an inquiry belongs to and can be credited for it, and to count how often pages, guides, and videos are opened. The identifier is random and contains nothing about you, these measurements are stored on our own infrastructure rather than sent to any advertising network, and where we record the IP address behind an interaction it is stored only as a one-way hash. Clearing cookies in your browser removes both.

The cost calculator stores two further values in your own browser: an identifier for the current session, so a run you come back to is not counted twice, and which layout of the page you were shown while we test improvements. Neither is an advertising cookie, and clearing your browser storage removes both.
