Most failed lawns were installed on unprepared ground or in the wrong light. We grade and prepare the soil, pick the variety for the conditions, and lay fresh sod tight.

Site Preparation
Old turf and debris removed, the area cleaned up, and the surface brought to a grade that drains away from the house.

Soil Preparation
Compacted ground broken up and amended so roots can get into it rather than sitting on a hard pan.

Variety Selection
Zoysia, St. Augustine, or Bermuda chosen for the sun the area actually receives and the traffic it will take.
- 04
Installation
Fresh-cut sod laid on the prepared grade with tight, staggered joints and edges cut clean into beds and hardscape.
- 05
Irrigation Check
Existing coverage reviewed and heads adjusted, or new irrigation run, so the whole lawn is actually being watered.

Establishment Guidance
A watering and mowing schedule for the first weeks, which is the period that decides whether the lawn takes.
