Lacewood Project: Two-Acre Patio Cover and Kitchen in Piney Point
A two-acre Piney Point property rebuilt with symmetry and intention — a custom patio cover over a limestone and leathered granite kitchen, travertine paving, large limestone planters and premium turf.
Set within the prestigious Piney Point Village, this full-scale transformation was designed to elevate every inch of the exterior with intention, symmetry, and timeless detail. Spanning over two acres, the project required months of design planning to ensure every element worked together seamlessly.
The front of the property was reimagined to create a grand, structured arrival. Mature 200-gallon live oak trees establish scale and separation from the street, while custom limestone-clad planters and large-format cast stone steppers set in black star gravel guide you toward the home. Layered landscaping, which includes agaves, magnolias, evergreens, and sculpted boxwoods, adds depth and balance throughout.
Lighting was a major focal point, with over 160 fixtures installed across the front alone. From core-drilled driveway lights to uplighting and well lights, the entire property comes alive at night, highlighting both architecture and landscape with precision.
In the backyard, a 30×50 custom patio structure anchors the space. Finished in a rich mahogany tone with a metal roof to match the home, it features integrated lighting, a statement chandelier, and detailed trim that ties everything together. Beneath it sits a fully custom outdoor kitchen built with limestone and leathered granite, outfitted with premium appliances including dual power burners, refrigeration, an ice machine, and a built-in smoker.
The surrounding space was designed for both luxury and ease of maintenance. Artificial turf stretches across the yard, paired with travertine decking, cast stone walkways, and integrated lighting and audio throughout. Additional features include a custom fire pit lounge, a poolside entertainment area with a covered TV feature, and a second-story Trex deck for elevated views and added functionality.
To complete the estate, over 400 linear feet of perimeter wall were enhanced with creeping fig ivy, lighting, and outdoor speakers. This creates a private, cohesive environment from front to back.
This project is what happens when every detail is thought through, every element is intentional, and execution is done at the highest level.
