01 — Overview

Located in Houston’s West University neighborhood, this project focused on creating a clean, modern front yard that enhances both curb appeal and security. The goal was to deliver a polished, functional entry experience that matched the character of the home while adding a more contemporary edge.

Design Approach

We started by installing a brand-new concrete driveway, providing a smooth, durable surface that immediately upgrades the look of the property. From there, we designed a bold entry walkway using large poured concrete steppers set in black star gravel. This combination creates a sharp contrast and a modern aesthetic, guiding visitors to the front door with a clean, intentional layout.

Fresh sod was installed across the yard to complete the landscape, bringing in a vibrant green element that softens the hardscape and ties everything together.

The standout feature of this project is the custom metal fencing paired with an automatic rolling entry gate. This addition not only enhances the modern design but also provides the homeowner with an added layer of privacy and security. The selection of fence blends style and function seamlessly.

The end result is a sleek, welcoming front yard that makes a strong first impression while offering practical benefits for everyday living.
