01 — Overview

The Milton project involved transforming a quaint backyard where the homeowner sought a low-maintenance and practical space for children and pets.

Design Approach

We decided to install artificial turf in the backyard, allowing the family to enjoy their outdoor area year-round. To address existing drainage issues, we installed an underground French drain system that is connected to the home’s rain gutters. This system will help prevent any flooding in the backyard.

Surrounding the turf and patio, we planted a variety of new trees and spread fresh mulch to enrich the soil and enhance the garden’s visual appeal. Additionally, the front of the home received a significant upgrade with a new walkway featuring a classic clay brick border, which leads gracefully to the front door. This not only improves the home’s curb appeal but also offers a warm welcome to visitors.
