Some Houston yards will never grow grass. Deep shade under live oaks, a narrow side yard, a dog run worn down to dirt, the strips between pavers — natural turf loses those fights every single year.

Artificial turf wins them permanently. No mowing, no watering, no brown patches in August, no muddy paw prints on the kitchen floor.

Done right, nearly all of the durability comes from what's underneath. We excavate, build a compacted base to grade, and run permeable drainage beneath the turf so water leaves instead of sitting under it. Then we pick the product for the actual job, because pile height, blade shape, color, density, and pet-rated backing should all differ between a play area, a run for the dogs, and the fringe around a putting green.

Turf lawns typically run $9 to $16 per square foot installed. Paver-and-turf inlays and putting greens are quoted after we walk the yard.
