01 — Overview

Check out this new construction home in the Garden Oaks area of Houston. This new build focuses on harmonizing innovative design with functional outdoor living, transforming the courtyard into a functional space. We initiated the project by clearing away river rocks that were installed by the original builder.

Design Approach

Central to our design is a lush, dark green artificial turf installation that beautifully contrasts with the home’s contemporary architecture, offering a year-round green space with minimal maintenance. Adjacent to this, we crafted a 2’x2′ paver walkway, framed by elegant Blackstar gravel that not only enhances the walkway’s durability but also its aesthetic appeal.

In the secondary back area, we extended the theme with matching turf to create a cohesive look throughout the property. This choice not only amplifies the visual impact but also increases the usability of the space, making it perfect for both relaxation and entertainment.

Together, these elements fuse to create a striking yet practical courtyard area that complements the modern vibe of the new construction, ensuring that the outdoor space is as impressive as the interior.
