01 — Overview

Tucked inside Houston’s prestigious River Oaks neighborhood, this full-property transformation blends luxury, functionality, and low-maintenance living into a cohesive outdoor experience. From the front entry to the backyard entertaining spaces, every detail was carefully planned and custom built to complement the home’s architecture and lifestyle.

Design Approach

The project began with months of design and planning to completely reimagine the property’s front, side, and backyard areas. In the front, we installed a brand-new permeable circular driveway system, combining functionality with upscale curb appeal. The surrounding landscape was designed with a clean xeriscape approach to create a polished look.

Along the side yards, we introduced custom poured-in-place 2×4 concrete pavers finished with a smooth slurry coat for a refined modern aesthetic. The planting palette continued with carefully selected ornamental trees, hibiscus, and evergreen shrubs that softened the hardscape while maintaining the project’s low-maintenance vision. One of the standout architectural features of the property is the pair of massive custom gates installed on each side of the home.

In the backyard, premium comfort turf was installed throughout the side and rear spaces to maximize usability while minimizing upkeep. The entertaining area centers around a custom concrete patio accented with striking black-and-white Italian tile details. Integrated fence lighting and layered landscape illumination create a warm evening atmosphere that ties the entire backyard together. We completed the project with a sleek L-shaped outdoor kitchen finished in smooth white stucco and topped with durable black leathered granite. The space includes a built-in grill, burner, refrigerator, trash pullout, and one of the largest outdoor pizza ovens we’ve installed to date.
