01 — Overview

This pergola patio cover project has truly become a standout feature in our client’s backyard. The journey began when the homeowner reached out to us with a particular challenge. They had an old oak tree, which had unfortunately succumbed to drought, leaving behind an unsightly and awkwardly positioned retaining wall.

Design Approach

Recognizing the potential in this space, our design team crafted an elegant plan for an all-natural cedar pergola that would seamlessly incorporate the existing retaining wall into the design. This beautiful patio cover features a state-of-the-art Hercules roofing system equipped with an efficient water management system to keep the area dry and comfortable during rainy days.

To enhance the overall ambiance and comfort of the space, we installed electrical wiring to the pergola, allowing for the addition of two stylish ceiling fans—perfect for providing a refreshing breeze during the sweltering Texas summers.

To elevate the aesthetic appeal even further, we laid down our signature artificial turf, complemented by a unique diamond paver design. This combination creates a low-maintenance seating area that is not only visually striking but also ready for enjoyment throughout the year. The homeowner decided to enrich the structure by adding a breathtaking trellis to the cedar posts. As the vines begin to grow and fill in, they will transform the patio cover into a lush, green oasis, offering a one-of-a-kind aesthetic that will truly stand out.
