A compacted base and a reinforced slab are poured to tolerance and to a fall that sheds water off the playing surface. Flatness tolerance on a court is tighter than on a patio and is specified accordingly.

Cushioned acrylic, modular tile, or synthetic turf systems are selected for the sport, the level of play, and how the system holds up outdoors in this climate.

Playing lines are laid out and painted to regulation, including multi-sport layouts sharing one slab. Multi-sport line schemes are drawn before painting so the court does not end up unreadable.

How much space does a pickleball or basketball court need?
A regulation pickleball court plus run-off needs meaningfully more than the playing area alone, and a half-court basketball setup less. We set the dimensions and run-off margins out on your lot at the site walk so you can see the real footprint before committing.
Can one slab take more than one sport?
Yes, and multi-sport layouts sharing a slab are common. The line scheme has to be drawn before painting so the court stays readable, and the fencing and net positions have to work for both. It is a design question, not a paint question.
What surfacing is best in Houston?
Cushioned acrylic is the standard for tennis and pickleball and gives the most consistent bounce. Modular tile drains fast and forgives slab movement. Synthetic turf suits multi-use family courts. Heat, drainage, and the level of play decide it.
Do I need lighting for a backyard court?
