How much does a turf and paver grid cost?
Most grids run $8,000 to $28,000, or roughly $22 to $38 per square foot installed. Paver size, joint width, and how much cutting the turf needs around the grid are the main variables.
Can you park on a turf and paver grid?
Only if it is specified for it from the start. A pedestrian grid and a drivable one are different base depths and different paver thicknesses. Tell us at the site walk if a car will ever sit on it, because retrofitting for load means rebuilding the base.
Does the turf between pavers stay green?
Yes, because it is synthetic. That is the point of the detail: the strips between pavers are exactly where natural grass fails first from shade, traffic, and mower access, so a grid removes the maintenance problem rather than managing it.
How does water drain through a paver grid?
Through the permeable base beneath both surfaces, with drain lines added where the grade cannot carry it away on its own. Water leaving through the grid rather than sheeting off it is one of the main reasons to build one.
How long does a turf and paver grid take to install?
Most grids are one to two weeks on site. Cutting turf tight to every paver edge is the slowest stage and is what the schedule is built around.
