How much does a pool remodel cost in Houston?
Most remodels run $18,000 to $85,000. An interior resurface alone is typically $8,000 to $18,000. Whether the deck, coping, and equipment are being done at the same time is the largest variable, and doing them together costs far less than doing them separately.
How often does a pool need resurfacing?
Plaster typically 7 to 12 years, quartz and pebble finishes longer. Staining, rough patches underfoot, and exposed gunite are the signs. If the surface is at end of life, that is also the cheapest moment to correct the tile line, the coping, and the hydraulics.
Should I replace the equipment at the same time?
If the pump is single-speed, yes. Variable-speed pumps cut pool running costs substantially and the labour to change one is already largely covered while the pad is open. Doing it as a separate job later costs more for the same result.
Can you fix a pool deck that ponds water?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people call. Correcting the fall and the drainage away from the pool and the house is part of the deck scope rather than an extra, because relaying a deck without fixing the fall recreates the problem.
How long does a pool remodel take?
Typically four to ten weeks depending on scope. A resurface alone is at the short end; a full remodel with deck, coping, and equipment is at the long end. You get a schedule with the proposal.
