Cool Decking and Pool Remodeling Across Houston

Most pools that have stopped looking finished need a surface, a tile line, and equipment rather than replacement. A remodel is also the one chance to correct the deck, the coping, and the hydraulics at the same time, which is where the running cost of a pool actually sits.

01 — Scope

What’s included in the work.

Every project has the same core scope, adapted to the specific property and program.

  • 01

    Assessment & Survey

Shell, surface, tile, coping, deck, and equipment inspected so the plan addresses the cause rather than the symptom.

  • 02

    Surface Renewal

Plaster, quartz, or pebble interior finish chipped out and replaced, with the shell repaired where it needs it.

  • 03

    Tile & Coping

Waterline tile, raised bond beams, and coping replaced in stone, travertine, or tile so they sit right with the new deck.

  • 04

    Deck & Surround

Cracked or dated decking replaced or extended, with drainage corrected away from the pool and the house.

  • 05

    Equipment & Plumbing

Variable-speed pumps, filters, heaters, automation, and lighting replaced, with the plumbing corrected for flow.

  • 06

    Features & Lighting

Spillways, sheer descents, bubblers, spa additions, and colour LED lighting added where the remodel makes room for them.

02 — Craft

Everything you see.
Everything you don’t.

What separates a landscape that lasts from one that fails in two summers is the work you never see — grade, drainage, soil preparation, and compacted base. On Houston clay, that is most of the job.

And what you do see — the joint lines, the bed edges, the level of a terrace against the house — we hold to the same standard.

03 — Investment

Roughly what it costs.

The range below is what a remodel of this kind typically runs in Houston, so you can place yourself in it before you call. It is a starting point, not a quote — what the survey finds decides where you land. A sound shell that needs a surface and a tile line sits near the bottom of it; a pool where the interior, the coping, the deck, and the hydraulics all need correcting at once approaches what building new would cost.

We confirm a clear investment range in the initial consultation and issue a detailed proposal after the design phase.

What moves the number
  • Pool size, and the interior finish — plaster, quartz, or pebble
  • How much waterline tile, bond beam, and coping is replaced
  • Deck area replaced or extended, and the drainage corrected with it
  • Equipment — pumps, filters, heating, automation, and lighting
  • Features added while the pool is open: spillways, bubblers, a spa, a ledge
Typical investment

$18,000 – $85,000

Most projects of this type

$8,000 – $18,000for an interior resurface alone
At the lower end
A new interior finish and waterline tile on a sound shell, with the equipment left as it is.
At the upper end
A full renovation — interior, tile, coping, replaced decking, corrected drainage, variable-speed equipment, automation, lighting, and added water features.

A range, not a quote. Your figure depends on square footage, materials, how much grading and drainage the site needs, and equipment access.
