Houston Swimming Pool Contractors, Design Through Build

A pool designed on its own leaves the rest of the yard to fill in around it. We design the pool, the spa, the deck, and the planting as one plan, so the water sits where the yard wanted it.

01 — Scope

What’s included in the work.

Every project has the same core scope, adapted to the specific property and program.

  • 01

    Shape & Placement

Geometry and position worked out from the lot, the setbacks, the sight lines from inside, and how much deck is left to actually use.

  • 02

    Spas & Water Features

Integrated or raised spas, spillways, scuppers, and raised walls detailed for the sound and movement they add.

  • 03

    Decking & Coping

Deck material, coping profile, and waterline tile chosen together, and set out so the joint lines resolve against the pool edge.

  • 04

    Elevations & Grade

Water level, deck level, and finished grade set against the house so the deck drains and the transitions are flush where they should be.

  • 05

    Equipment & Automation

Variable-speed pumps, filtration, sanitation, heating, LED lighting, and controls specified, with the pad laid out so it can be serviced.

  • 06

    Landscape Integration

Planting, turf, structures, drainage, and lighting drawn with the pool from the start rather than fitted around it at the end.

02 — Craft

Everything you see.
Everything you don’t.

What separates a landscape that lasts from one that fails in two summers is the work you never see — grade, drainage, soil preparation, and compacted base. On Houston clay, that is most of the job.

And what you do see — the joint lines, the bed edges, the level of a terrace against the house — we hold to the same standard.

03 — Investment

Roughly what it costs.

Full backyard rebuilds in our portfolio — pool, deck, structures, and planting delivered together — have published between $80,000 and $250,000. Where the pool is one part of a larger plan, the whole-property figure is the one to plan against.

We confirm a clear investment range in the initial consultation and issue a detailed proposal after the design phase.

What moves the number
  • Pool size, depth, and geometry
  • Spa, spillways, scuppers, and raised walls
  • Deck material, and how much deck the design carries
  • Equipment — heating, automation, sanitation, and lighting
  • Site access, grade, and how much of the yard is rebuilt around the water
Typical investment

$85,000 – $175,000

Most projects of this type

At the lower end
A rectangular gunite pool with standard decking, a straightforward equipment set, and little grade work.
At the upper end
A pool and raised spa with water features, a large stone deck, heating and automation, and the surrounding landscape built with it.

A range, not a quote. Your figure depends on square footage, materials, how much grading and drainage the site needs, and equipment access.
