Site Walk and Design Consultation
We walk the lot, check setbacks, sightlines from inside the house, and how much usable deck is left once the water is placed. Geometry and position come out of the lot, not out of a shape catalogue. The consultation is free.

Shape, Elevations and Grade
Water level, deck level, and finished grade are set against the house so the deck drains and transitions are flush where they should be. On Houston clay this is the step that prevents a deck that ponds.

What separates pool design and construction that lasts from work that fails in two summers is the part you never look at again once it is finished. On this job that is shape & placement and spas & water features — decided before anything visible goes in, and impossible to correct afterwards without taking up what sits on top. A Houston pool is set against a high water table and expansive clay, so water level, deck level, and finished grade have to be resolved against the house before the shell is dug. What you do see gets held to the same standard: the joint lines, the edges, and how the finished work meets the house.

How much does a pool cost in Houston?
A designed pool with spa, decking, and the surrounding landscape typically runs $85,000 to $175,000. Shell size and shape, spa and water features, deck material and area, equipment specification, and how much of the surrounding yard is built at the same time are the main drivers.
Why design the pool and the landscape together?
Because a pool designed on its own leaves the rest of the yard to fill in around it. Deck levels, drainage, planting, structures, and lighting all depend on where the water sits. Drawn together, the transitions resolve; drawn separately, they get compromised.
How long does a pool build take in Houston?
Typically three to six months from design sign-off, depending on scope, permitting, and weather. Gunite curing and equipment lead times are the fixed elements. You get a schedule with the proposal.
What ongoing costs should I expect?
Chemicals, electricity, and water, with electricity being the one you can influence most at design stage. A variable-speed pump and correctly sized plumbing materially reduce running cost against an undersized system, which is why we specify them rather than value-engineering them out.
Do I need a pool fence in Houston?
Yes. Residential pool barrier requirements apply, and they are designed into the plan rather than added at inspection. We handle the permitting and build the barrier as part of the project.
